Pacific Rim 2 Not Cancelled says Director Guillermo del Toro
It’s dead! It’s alive! It’s dead again! While the fates play Lazarus with Pacific Rim 2, director Guillermo del Toro has given the beleaguered film a shot in its giant robotic arm by taking to Twitter to confirm that all may not be lost.
If all had gone to plan, the sequel to the monster’s v giant robots punch up would have been filming by now, however the brakes were put on the project, and director Guillermo del Toro is now apparently heading off to remake Fantastic Voyage.
Still rumours persist that Pacific Rim 2 has been cancelled altogether, and, defiant as ever, del Toro keeps shooting said rumours down. In fact, Legendary Entertainment, which is due to fund the sequel, has now been subject of a major takeover, that may just refill its bank balance. That might just grease a few wheels.
The director took to Twitter to yet again state that where there’s will, there’s a way.
Pac Rim 2 cancelled? Don't believe everything you read. It's still going and I'll remain w it in one way or another!

It may not have a release date or an official greenlight just yet but don’t count the film out.
