Dragon Age: Inquisition Receives 'The Descent' Story DLC Next Week

It's time for another yarn from BioWare as a surprise announcement for more Dragon Age: Inquisition story-based DLC snuck up on us, and it's right around the corner.

The Inquisition will be braving the depths of the Deep Roads to face against darkspawn hordes, as well as discover the mysterious source of numerous earthquakes. The blame obviously lies with the Dwarven fracking industry. What else could it be?

"Explore the legendary Deep Roads, but ensure that you come prepared. A perilous journey awaits underground, where vast, darkspawn-infested caverns will challenge the Inquisition like never before."

It's not just a new dungeon we'll be traversing but all-new characters will be introduced including some past enemies like the hulking ogres that kill Ferelden royalty, and spare Hawke family members. The previous story DLC was Jaws of Hakkon set in the chilly mountains and a reportedly leaked survey reveals there's at least another major story add-on planned.

Dragon Age: Inquisition - The Descent releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 August 11th.
