It's been a good ten years since Funcom Productions stepped back into the realm of single-player games but their latest foray, The Park, aims to bring "the feeling you get from a Stephen King novel" to your screen.

The Norwegian company, whom you may recognise as the developer of Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, and the Samurai Shodown Mega-CD port, have released a short teaser video showing off a little bit behind the scenes of the game.

Creative Director Joel Bylos stated "For the last ten years, Funcom has been focused on making massively multiplayer online games, so The Park is our first single-player experience in a long time."

"It has been an incredibly fun and rewarding process working on The Park. What initially started out as a prototype and a way for us to learn new development tools, has evolved into a short and intense psychological horror experience which we are all very excited to share with gamers out there."

You'll take control of "rough around the edges", publicly declared 'failure as a mother' Lorraine who's searching for her missing son Callum.

It looks like the game is coming fairly soon as the website declares an October 2015 release date, be sure to track the game using our online calendar to be updated when an official date is released.
