In a time when Japan outlawed Christianity, two Jesuit priests go in search for their mentor. The new trailer for Martin Scorsese's Silence has been released.

Father Cristóvão Ferreira (Liam Neeson) has publicly denounced his faith in Japan and two of his former students Father Sebastião Rodrigues (Andrew Garfield) and Father Francisco Garrpe (Adam Driver) go in search of him.

Silence will be in cinemas in the US and UK in January 2017.
