RUMOUR: Has Square Enix Removed Bad Side Quest Endings for Europe?

There has been a lot of controversy recently when it comes to censorship of JRPGs in their Western localisations, such as the removal of the 'petting' mechanic from Fire Emblem Fates titles but, in the grand scheme of things, this censorship is meaningless. This time around, not so much!

Rumours stirring from the GameFAQs forums are spreading, stating that Square Enix has removed the 'bad' endings from certain side quests in Bravely Second: End Layer.

Before you continue reading, you should take this grain of salt. Nintendo has neither confirmed or denied this information, and it certainly seems like a strange thing to censor in general unless Nintendo wanted to shoot for a younger demographic who they may feel they need to babysit more carefully.

Additionally, the following information contains spoilers!

A user by the name of Dark_Felix says that they have finished the Japanese version of the game and noticed that something felt "off" in the English version which they claim to have played. "I just finished the side quest with Ominas and Artemia and they made a pretty big change with how the outcome works."

"So i chose to side with Artemia which resulted in fighting Ominas and Bahamut, at the end of it instead of Bahamut dying they switched over to the side quest ending that comes after a major event further down the story in which it's a good ending for both sides no matter which choice you pick."

It appears that, regardless of what side you choose, you're given a 'good ending'. What do you think? Is this a possibility, or is it much too strange?
