Resident Evil Reboot Planned
Just when it looked as though the Resident Evil franchise was dead, Constantin Film have injected it with the T virus and announced plans to resurrect the series with a fresh bout of reboot.
It’s not much of a surprise, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter took $312 million worldwide certainly didn’t hurt matters. Now Constantin Film chairman Martin Moszkowicz tells the trade mag, Variety, that early development work is happening on a rebooted version.
Now, there’s not a lot of meat to pick of this reboots bones at the moment. There’s no news on who will make the film or star in it if franchise stalwarts director Paul W.S. Anderson (who was pretty adamant that The Final Chapter would be just that) and star Milla Jovovich weren’t involved.
So it looks like this is one to keep an undead eye on…
