NCSoft's martial arts-themed fantasy MMORPG, Blade & Soul launched last week to great success which led to server reaching their maximum capacity rather quickly. In order to combat this, the South Korean developer has opened 8 new servers in total; four on Thursday, and another four yesterday.

Six of the new servers - Dochun, Gunma, Junghado, Yunwaand, Taywong, and Onmyung - are North American while the the final two - Twin Wagons and Spirit's Rest - are for Europe, leaving the server count at 32 across both regions.

These server openings mark that last of NCSoft's reserve hardware; the developer stated "we already have new hardware incoming even though [the] delivery and configuration process is still expected to take time."

As for Blade & Soul, the game has seen mixed reviews across the board, praising the game's fast-paced martial arts combat.
