The Entity Getting Remake From Team Behind The Conjuring

James Wan may currently be enjoying a lot of success for Furious 7 and in the process of hashing out a deal with Warner Bros. for Aquaman, but he hasn't forgotten his horror movie origins, as evidenced by his plans to remake The Entity.

For those who don't remember The Entity it was a horror movie from 1982 about the case of Carla Moran. Moran made headlines when she claimed that there was an invisible demon in her house. Normally such a claim would be met with a trip to a mental health institution, but when she added that said demon had been physically and sexually assaulting her and she had the marks to prove it, it became newsworthy.

Wan has announced his intentions to produce the movie, which is set to be written by Carey and Chad Hayes, who Wan worked with on another based on a true story horror: The Conjuring.

The Entity is likely at least a year away given the lack of a script at this point, however we'll be sure to keep you updated as more news becomes available.
