Poor Michael Myers, he won't be slashing his way through any victims this year as the planned return of Halloween has fallen on its own knife. The rights to the franchise have gone to Miramax, parent company of Dimension films.

What fate awaits the once powerful Halloween horror universe? It's unclear and a plot for the 11th movie was never confirmed but it was supposedly about Michael Myer's execution on death row, which naturally screws up and leads to a high body count. Only speculation remains as to what Miramax will do with Halloween. Horror fans do still have Leatherface to look forward to in 2016.
