The leak of Pokemon Sun and Moon was met with mixed opinions; some were immediately jumping on the hype train, others felt like it was all an elaborate hoax as various news outlets fell for a Tweet sent out by a Nintendo parody account.

Nevertheless, Nintendo went on to announce the game the very next day during their special Pokemon Nintendo Direct so, if you missed it, here's what we currently know about this new pair of games.

First things first, you'll be excited to know that the games will be launching worldwide during this holiday season for Nintendo 3DS, as expected. The game will have the usual language options of English, Italian, Spanish, German, French, Korean, and Japanese as well as the introduction of both a Simplified and Traditional Chinese translation.

While fan's were expecting a continuation of Generation 6 with Pokemon Z, Pokemon Sun and Moon looks like it will kick-start the Seventh Generation of Pokemon. Are you ready for another 100+ Pokemon? We've already seen Magearna, a new Legendary Pokemon that will feature in an upcoming movie.

Additionally, we caught a small glimpse of a brand new Bird Pokemon's wire frame in the above trailer as the developers worked on the game.

An interesting feature is the ability to use Pokemon Bank to transfer the critters that you catch in the new eShop versions of Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. Could this mean that we won't be seeing a whole lot of original Pokemon in this game?
