Conan Sequel Still Happening, Schwarzenegger Confirms New Title
Despite and perhaps because Terminator Geniysis faltered with both audiences and critics Arnold Schwarzenegger is still keen to press on with another beloved franchise Conan – which has just undergone a title change and script revisions.
Originally known as The Legend of Conan, the movie was expected to go into production once Arnie was done with Terminator. But as of yet, cameras have not been unpacked.
Speaking at the Experience with Arnold Schwarzenegger events which took place across the UK this past week, the question of what’s happening with Conan was raised by fans.
He confirmed that he and writer/producer Chris Morgan "are meeting with directors at this moment. Interest is high, many are fans of Conan, but we are not rushing. We have a great script and now we need the right director for the job", he said.
As for the film, Arnie called it Conan The Conqueror, with a story described as "where I’m sitting on the throne for years and years – decades, and then all of the sudden, the time comes when they want to overthrow me. So that story will be told and that movie will be done".
So there you have it, Conan will return soon to conqueror the box office or die on the throne.
