Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King Release Date Announced
Nintendo have announced the release date for the Nintendo 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King coming to Europe and North America.
Originally a PlayStation 2 game, Dragon Quest VIII is bound for Nintendo 3DS with two new playable characters, more side quests and full voice-acting for major plot cut-scenes. There's new backstory content as well exploring the The Hero and the villain Dhoulmagus.
Nintendo have also said the 3DS remake features a new alternative ending. The original game has had elements improved and 'streamlined' such as a quicksave feature and a speed-up option for battles. Outside of conflict and cut-scenes there's also a new photo mode for pictures using frames, filters and even stickers with characters able to pose. Cameron's Codex rewards you for taking certain pictures of places and monsters.
The 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VIII released in native Japan back in August 2015.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King releases on Nintendo 3Ds January 20th, 2017 in the US and Europe.
