The wait for free-to-play iOS and now Android management strategy game Fallout Shelter is finally over as it releases through the Google Play Store. It's time to accept the position of Vault Overseer.

A surprise announcement was made at Bethesda's E3 presentation event that arrived during the official reveal of Fallout 4. A special iOS exclusive title suddenly appeared by the name of Fallout Shelter. Sadly this meant that millions more Android users were left out in the cold of the irradiated Wasteland. Now we can finally descend into the Vault.

"Fallout Shelter is a post-nuclear strategy and simulation experience that puts you in control of a state-of-the-art underground Vault. Build the perfect Vault from a variety of rooms, oversee your very own thriving community of Vault Dwellers, and protect them from the dangers of the Wasteland."

Today also sees an update to Fallout Shelter adding robotic companion Mr. Handy who will automatically collect resources within our Vault for us, as well as travel out into the Wasteland for adventures.

Fallout Shelter is now available through the Google Play Store for Android platforms.
