Paradox Release After Dark DLC For Cities: Skylines

Today things get dark for Cities: Skylines as Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive will launch the very first DLC for the city-building sim. As its name suggests it includes new features based around city night life.

The actual new mechanic of a day and night cycle is part of a large free patch to all mayors of Cities: Skylines, including the new way police handle crime. The paid-for content includes new commerical specializations to take advantage of night life activities and beach front leisure. It also includes a big International Airport, a cargo hub for sea and rail freight, and a prison to handle rehabilitation.

The patch and new DLC also introduce more buildings, with all existing buildings having been reworked to support lighting up during the night. The DLC features the new taxi service, bus terminal for changing between lines, and bicycles with dedicated bicycle paths and road lanes. Lengthy After Dark patch notes (1.2.0) have been released.

Cities: Skylines - After Dark releases on PC and Mac today, September 24th @ 15:00 CEST.
