Sony Pictures Skips To "The Girl In The Spider's Web"
While it was received favourably, Sony Pictures wasn't so excited by the 'meh' revenue that The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo brought in, which featured Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara. Their bright idea is a reboot of sorts by skipping two books in the series.
Instead of following up with The Girl Who Played With Fire, Sony will be working on a screenplay for the fourth book The Girl In The Spider's Web. It's the first not written by Swedish author Stieg Larsson who passed away 11 years ago in 2004. Sony has tasked writer Steven Knight with screenplay duties for the new project.
Currently there's nothing about who will direct or star in The Girl In The Spider's Web.
