Gambit Starring Channing Tatum Delayed To 2017
Shooting for the X-Men spin-off Gambit will begin shooting next spring if all goes well with whom has been lined up to direct the project, starring Channing Tatum. This means the original October 2016 release is almost certainly a no-go.
Instead it will likely hit cinemas now in 2017 unless something else throws a spanner in the works. Director Rupert Wyatt was attached but then left the Gambit movie, but now Doug Liman has been signed on as his replacement. "Gambit will have its own different flavour and tone to it", said producer Simon Kinberg, referring to the past X-Men movies.
Gambit is still marked for October 2016 but will almost certainly push into 2017.
