Trailer For 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl' Shows The Difference a Friend Makes

You may not have heard of it, but Me and Earl and the Dying Girl was a hit when it played at Sundance film festival. And now, there's a new trailer to prepare you for it's wider release.

The story follows Greg, played by Thomas Mann (Beautiful Creatures), a teenager who loves movies, and makes them with his co-worker (not friend) Earl, played by RJ Cyler (Second Chances). Greg prefers to coast along and not get too close to anyone, so when his parents force him to start hanging out with Rachel, Olivia Cooke (Bates Motel), things get awkward, especially since Rachel has just found out she has Leukaemia.

The movie is directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and will co-star Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) and Connie Britton (Nashville) as Greg's parents.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is out June 12 in the US and September 11 in the UK. Check out the new trailer below:
