New Monsters: Dark Continent Trailer Stomps In
Heading back to the infected zone, Monsters: Dark Continent, has released what should be its final trailer via Empire and, it’s a very different beast to the 2010 original.
Swapping out the first movies love story come road movie, which also happened to feature some fairly kick-ass aliens along the way, Dark Continent is an out and out war movie.
With Monsters director Gareth Edwards taking an Executive Producer role here, the job of showing us what war is good for falls to Tom Green, director of the Misfits TV series, who manage to wrangle some pretty awesome shots out of the US soldiers pinned down by an unnamed insurgency right in the heart of monster territory – so like a western then only with giant, tentacle covered beasts.
Featuring the likes of Johnny Harris, Sam Keeley, Joe Dempsie, Jesse Nagy and Nicholas Pinnock, Monsters: Dark Continent lands in UK cinemas on May 1, with a US release scheduled for April 17.
