Fox Developing New Sitcom, The Bastard
Fox have given a script commitment to single-camera sitcom, The Bastard written and executive produced by Rob Rosell and David Hornsby.
This marks a reunion for the pair who co-created with Scott Marder the FX animated comedy series Unsupervised and served as executive producers on the network’s flagship comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
The Bastard follows Warren, a hardworking hotel janitor who has a freak accident at work and is told by his mother, who mistakenly thinks he’s on his death bed, that he’s the bastard son of the wealthy founder of the hotel chain. Warren seeks out his real father, hoping to connect, and eventually earns a place in the wealthy but dysfunctional family. But no matter how hard he tries, he will always be … the bastard.
The Bastard is currently under development.
