George Miller WILL Be Back For More Mad Max!
What a day! What a lovely day! Mad Max: Fury Road fans, breathe a sigh of relief – George Miller has clarified earlier comments and reaffirmed his commitment to make more Mad Max films.
The original interview did seem out of sorts for Miller, who had already spoken of returning to The Wasteland; the director has since gone on to correct the news that broke a thousand Max freaks hearts.
“That was a completely garbled interview; I was in New York and it was so noisy and the journalist was asking me questions on a red carpet at the National Board of Review,” he tells The Wrap of the Page Six interview that made our collective hearts sink. “She completely got the wrong fragments of information that were just not true. I said no, another Mad Max movie will not be next, and she took that to mean I never wanted to make another Mad Max. It won’t necessarily be next, but I have two more stories.”
Still with an Oscar nomination in hand and a chance to shoot something a little less roar, roar and more calm, calm, the main hope now is that he returns to the Charger refreshed and ready to rev headlong back into the world of Mad Max.
