BioWare's Mass Effect: Andromeda is fast approaching now we're over the hump of 2016. Some more juicy intel has just been released about the sci-fi RPG.

Let's get the 'big' part of the new info out of the way first: No Season Pass. EA will not be offering future content released as part of a pre-paid package. This isn't to say there won't be any expansion-like content as BioWare has hinted they've got plans in the works and suggested there's no 'end state'.

PC specifications for the latest Mass Effect will be forthcoming closer to the launch of the new game, and the PC version will also support game controllers like Dragon Age: Inquisition also supported at launch due to the change over to the Frostbite engine.

Pre-loading Mass Effect: Andromeda will be possible from March 17th @ 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.

Those who subscribe to EA Access for $5 per month will be able to enjoy some limited early access to Andromeda, though specifics have yet to be determined. Sometimes these early play sessions can be up to a week before official launch, but with restrictions.

Pre-order bonuses are being trotted out for the new shiny Mass Effect. Just because it's taking place in a different galaxy doesn't mean the pre-order laws get left in the Milky Way, it seems. The bonus items range from armour, customisation skins and a small multiplayer booster pack, to even more armour, skins and boosters to the digital soundtrack of the game. There is the offer of a Pet Pyjak for the Deluxe Edition.

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 March 21st in the US, 23rd in Europe.
