Blizzard Announces More Than 7 Million Sign-Ups for OverWatch Beta

Blizzard's latest project, OverWatch, is already garnering a lot of attention from players excited to try out the "pick-up-and-play first person shooter" as more than 7 million players have signed up to participate in the beta.

This news was revealed alongside the company's latest financial reports and does not include sign-ups from China. If you haven't signed up, the OverWatch beta will feature 18 unique playable characters for you to toy around with, which we're definitely looking forward to.

Elsewhere in that new financial data was the revelation that World of Warcraft has lost more than 100,000 subscribing players in the last quarter leaving subscription counts at 5.5 million as of September 30. Still, World of Warcraft retains the largest subscribing player base of all MMORPG's in the world.
