Metal Gear Solid V 'Quiet Save Bug' Fixed

Konami and the team behind Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has moved the latest patch out of Beta into a full release, and it's an important one. Silence is golden once again for saved games.

A serious game-breaking bug was found to occur if you took buddy Quiet out with Snake on two particular missions (29 and 42) that would run a serious risk of corrupting the save file, which means your entire campaign would be wiped. A workaround was found to use a specific emblem or by simply opting to use another buddy or none at all.

Now the issue has been laid to rest as the latest patch releases across all platforms. "We're happy to report that a fix for the Quiet/save data issue has now been implemented for PS4. The same fix for other platforms are coming" tweeted Konami. They continue to look into the on-going server issues with the game's online features.

Metal Gear Online is scheduled for new info at this year's Tokyo Game Show running September 17-20.
