Starbreeze to Develop John Wick Virtual Reality FPS
Starbreeze, developer of Payday 2, is currently developing a virtual reality, first-person shooter game based on John Wick and its impending sequel.
The company is working alongside theBlu: Encounter studio and WEVR on a “fully immersive VR experience” which will launch on most VR headsets in Spring 2016.
A promo version of the game will be at select stops on the HTC Vive World Tour and will be available as a teaser at the launch of the HTC Vibe, as well as on SteamVR.
The game itself will feature characters from the films and the Continental Hotel location but will be standalone. Furthermore, Starbreeze will be integrating the John Wick storyline into Payday 2.
