Fast & Furious 8: Vin Diesel Shares First Cast Photo
Unless you’re that one person who got spooked by all those cars falling out of a multi-storey car park, then you’ll already know that Fast & Furious 8 has begun filming.
Making the occasion star and executive producer Vin Diesel has taken to his Instagram page – the one stop shop for all Vin Diesel press releases these days, along with his Facebook page; seriously, give him a cheeky follow if you’re powered by Diesel – to share a full cast photo.
Okay so it isn’t an official photo but it does give us a good indication of how the Fast & Furious gang line up in the absence of recently passed star, Paul Walker.
From left to right we’ve got 11 actors who are: Jason Statham, Kristofer Hivju, Kurt Russell, Tyrese Gibson, Charlize Theron, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Scott Eastwood and Dwayne Johnson.
That’ s one big, musclely family.
Most are returnees from earlier films in the franchise with the exception of Charlize Theron as new baddie Cipher; magnificently-bearded Kristofer Hivju (who has ventured south of The Wall from Game Of Thrones and away from his beloved Brienne of Tarth) as her henchman; plus Scott Eastwood as Kurt Russell’s protegé.
Rallying the cars, crews and family barbecues this time out is Straight Outta Compton helmer F. Gary Grey, with filming taking place in Cleveland, New York, Iceland, and Cuba.
Fast & Furious 8 is set to wheel-spin into cinemas on April 14, 2017.
