Rumour: Slightly Mad Studios Working On Fast & Furious IP
Ian Bell, CEO of Project CARS developer Slightly Mad Studios, has given a very heavy hint to their next major game in development. It's a Fast & Furious title.
He spilled the nitrous-fuelled beans during a surprise and spontaneous interview with YouTuber SpotTheOzzie as part of a live stream for Project CARS 2 launching this week. Naturally they discussed the game and what went on behind-the-scenes in development.
Those who tuned in for the livestream though got a surprise admission from the studio boss as he let slip they've lined up a deal with Hollywood bigwigs to work on a well-known movie franchise.
"Guess what the latest Need for Speed game is doing, and have a think about which Hollywood film they're copying," said Bell on SpotTheOzzie's live stream. "And then I can tell you we have a six year deal with that major Hollywood company that'll beat what Need for Speed is doing. For the next six years."
Clearing up the ambiguity further he added: "If you look at me, I'm a bald guy and I work out a bit," he said. "So that's a clue." He was of course referring to actor Vin Diesel who is the main star of the Fast & Furious franchise. This untitled Fast & Furious video game is likely in development for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Project CARS 2 releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 September 22nd, 2017.
