2K Sports has announced a virtual reality spin-off called NBA 2KVR Experience which is imminently releasing for HTV Vive, PlayStation VR and Samsung Gear VR.

Take those dunking skills you totally have and start getting nothing but net in this NBA VR title from 2K, which features NBA 2K17 cover athlete and All-Star Paul George. He'll be giving you pointers and commentary through various mini-games.

“Our team consistently looks for new ways to deliver unique, fun experiences for the gamer,” said Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts. “NBA 2KVR will give fans even more access to our franchise and test new skills across entertaining VR challenges.”

We step onto the court at Indiana Pacers’ stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and proceed to have our skills of speed and accuracy tested, as well as partake in a three-point shootout and the buzzer beater countdown. In a shameless corporate shilling, you can also gain 'Gatorade boosts' to aid "shooting acumen, speed, recovery" and climb leaderboards easier - presumably because its laced with virtual steroids.

“As a lifelong fan of NBA 2K, it’s exciting to see them take the leap into VR, and even more exciting that it’ll be on my home court,” said Paul George, cover star of NBA 2K17. “I can’t wait for fans to dominate on the virtual court with virtual help from Gatorade.” Do we mention Gatorade enough yet? Drink Gatorade!!

NBA 2KVR Experience releases on PC, PlayStation 4 and Android November 22nd, 2016.
