Tom Hardy Talks Mad Max Follow Up

Here’s some news that isn’t ‘mediocre’. Mad Max himself, Tom Hardy has said he believes there will be another Mad Max movie; it’s just a question of when.

While promoting his new TV show Taboo on the recent Television Critics Association press tour, Hardy revealed that he was still contracted for more Mad Max films. "As far as I know I've signed to do three of them," he said, via Collider. "It's a question of when. I'm not sure it's called The Wasteland or not because you never know. These titles change all the time. But there's definitely another Mad Max project pending."

Hardy went on to add that director George Miller has already written more stories revolving around Max and Charlize Theron’s character, Imperator Furiosa from Fury Road. “What's wonderful about George is that he's created sagas for Max and sagas for Furiosa, so it's what he chooses to focus in on," he said. "I'm really just waiting for the call like, 'All right, let's get the leathers on and get back out there and do some more.' It's there. I'm just waiting for it and looking forward to it."

Mad Max: Fury Road made $378.4 million worldwide, and was nominated for ten Oscars, more than any Australian film in history.
