Bethesda and id Software have just revealed more about DOOM's upcoming multiplayer mayhem and there are six modes to choose from when the game launches this May.

As you'd expect there are the usual suspects but a new multiplayer-focused trailer teases Freeze Tag where you literally freeze the opposing team into a block, but you can also help out your buddies by thawing them. The goal is simply to freeze out the other team.

"Six modes. Countless ways to kill. Infinite ways to die. Welcome to DOOM multiplayer, which delivers fast-paced and competitive combat in brutal, blood-spattered arenas." - Bethesda Softworks

Soul Harvest is all about the harvest of your enemies' sweet souls as they conveniently pop out of their bullet-riddled corpse into handy orb form. Warpath involves a moving zone that must be captured, and that means whoever currently holds the wandering territory is left vulnerable to attack from all sides.

The trailer is short - just 56 seconds long - and named Clan Arena, Domination and of course Team Deathmatch as joining the demonic ruckus. DOOM has always had a strong multiplayer following since it helped kick off the first-person shooter religion that many still adhere to today.

DOOM, which is a reboot of the series from creator id Software, releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 May 13th, 2016.
