Jurassic World 2: First Story Hints Revealed

Deciding not to endorse another park Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has been sharing his plans to take the Jurassic out of the park for the follow up to this year's mega hit.

Trevorrow won't be returning to the directors chair but he and co-writer Derek Connelly face the unenviable task of writing the next installment of the $1.559 billion hit - with the onus on taking the dinosaurs out of the park.

Speaking to Wired Trevorrow confirmed: "I know Steven [Spielberg] definitely wants to make several of these movies" and that the next movie will not be "just a bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island."

So what does that mean for Jurassic World 2? "There are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment," Trevorrow added. "And when you look back at nuclear power and how that started, the first instinct was to weaponise it and later on we found it could be used for energy".

Thus, one seed that Trevorrow has added to the series is "what if this went open source? It's like InGen is Mac, but what if PC gets their hands on it? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?"

So the series seems to be taking its cue from a line uttered by Dr Henry Wu in the movie: "We're not always going to be the only ones who can make a dinosaur."

Just what that means for Owen and his battle Raptors remains to be seen: It soon be all out dino-wars!
