Jon Bernthal will Play The Punisher in Daredevil Season 2
Big Marvel TV news as the studio's Head of Television Jeph Loeb confirmed that The Punisher is set to appear in the second series of Daredevil. What’s more, The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal is set to done the skull t-shirt and bring Frank Castle to life.
The Punisher is Marvel’s brutal vigilante, hell bent on cleaning up Hell's Kitchen by any means necessary. His introduction will offer an interesting counterpoint to Charlie Cox's Daredevil, who stepped away from more extreme measures as the first season ended.
Loeb commented: “Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences. Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same."
Whether or not that means he’ll be in the running for a Punisher movie remains to be seen. However, it’s an exciting development for the excellent Daredevil. Season 2 is expected to arrive at some point during 2016.
