BioWare Tease '4K Tech Video' For Mass Effect: Andromeda, More Info November 7th

Electronic Arts and developer BioWare have just released fresh in-game footage of the new Mass Effect: Andromeda. There hasn't been much gameplay footage until now.

It's just over 3 minutes long but BioWare isn't pulling any punches when it comes to showcasing their gorgeous 4K visuals. The gameplay we're shown is very brief and doesn't include anything outside of walking and some interaction.

We do get to see the new Asari party member we'll be causing mischief with but again this wasn't an actual developer playthrough but a tech demonstration for the new Frostbite 3 powered visual fidelity. It was shown off using the "power of 4K on PS4 Pro".

While only a fancy 4K tech demo we do get to see some of the Remnant - a new race in the coming game. We also witness the jet-pack boost our character will be able to use around environments and presumably in combat too.

The studio will finally be lifting the lid on Andromeda and the big new adventure we'll be on in a neighbouring galaxy later this year on November 7th. Why that date? They have chosen it because of the N7 program within Mass Effect's lore.

Also of note is that the PlayStation 4 version of the game will run capped at 30 frames per second, which is also likely for Xbox One. PC meanwhile can enjoy as high as their hardware can handle. Hopefully they haven't capped cut scenes at 30 frames.

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early 2017.
