Brawl, A Party Game For PS4, Announced

Brawl, a horror-themed game for up to four players, will help bulk up the lack of party games currently available on the PlayStation 4.

The game is currently in production from the independent game developers at Bloober Team. You may know them from their somewhat "broken," poorly reviewed game, Basement Crawl. They received a lot of negative feedback after Basement Crawl's release and are looking to make things right with Brawl. That begins with giving everyone who bought Basement Crawl the ability to download Brawl for free upon release. They do not like the fact that they lost a lot of gamer's trust and they plan on taking strides to get it back as they move forward with their passion projects.

Brawl is described by the developers as a fast-paced action arcade game. It allows the player to choose from one of eight characters and follow their journey through 'The Emporium' in order to grant the character's wish. Eight campaigns explain each character's story, allow you to discover 20 interactive arenas, and explore each character's unique skillset.

When it comes to the game's multiplayer, so far two modes have been announced: Versus/Arena & Duel. Versus/Arena tasks the players with getting the most frags by placing bombs and using special skills. Duel is a 1v1 fast-paced action mode set in smaller arenas that will be great for tournaments.

As for a release date, all the team has said is that the game will be available "soon." They've also released a wacky trailer, unlike anything we've ever seen before. Check it out now:
