First Trailer for Horror Sequel for Annabelle 2

Get ready to hate your toys all over again as creepy doll Annabelle is back in a sequel to The Conjuring’s spin-off hit, Annabelle 2.

The first film – while lacking originality and borrowing most of its scares from other, better films – Annabelle took $256 million, to be precise, which is all the more impressive when you realize it cost just $6.5 million to make.

A sequel was inevitable.

Focusing on the doll maker behind the murderous toy, twenty years after their daughter died tragically, the craftsman and his scarred wife (Miranda Otto) welcome a nun and several girls from an orphanage that recently had to close. Unfortunately for the new arrivals, the possessed doll is happy about sharing their home. Stephanie Sigman is playing Sister Charlotte, said nun.

Annabelle 2 is directed by Swedish filmmaker David F. Sandberg, who just made his feature film debut with Lights Out, and is written by Gary Dauberman, who scripted the first Annabelle.
