Sylvester Stallone to Direct Tough As They Come, Staring Adam Driver
Kylo Ren himself Adam Driver has enlisted in Sylvester Stallone’s adaptation of Travis Mills’ bestselling 2015 memoir, Tough As They Come, which follows Mills life after three tours in Afghanistan.
Driver will play U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Mills, who was caught in an IED blast, and became one of five quadruple amputee survivors from the war. At the heart of the story is his relationship with his father-in-law, Craig Buck, who will be played by Stallone who directs as well, who stood by his side through it all and helped him adjust to his new future.
Recently Stallone was courted by President-elect Donald Trump to take a top post in the NEA. He turned down the job and said he wanted to spend his time bringing national attention to returning military personnel and shining the light on the challenges of reintegrating into society. This inspirational film certainly would go a long way toward pressing that message.
So far, no further details have been announced.
