It may be breaking news, but it's not exactly shocking news... The Legend Of Zelda for Wii U will not make its holiday 2015 release and instead will come sometime in 2016.

The news comes from the official Legend Of Zelda Facebook page where a video titled Zelda Development Update, which you can watch below, shows the game's producer, Eiji Aonuma, stating that the game is just more ambitious than the team anticipated back when the initial release date of 2015 was announced.

Aonuma explains that several, "new ideas have continued to spring forth, and it now feels like we have the potential to create something that exceeds my own expectations."

He wrapped up the video by saying, "So, I must apologize to you all that were expecting the game by year's end, but we are no longer making a 2015 release our number one priority. Instead, our priority is to make it the most complete and ultimate Zelda game."

Nintendo has also taken to Twitter to address the news and also dropped a bit of a blow themselves to fans awaiting The Legend Of Zelda for Wii U stating: "Mr. Aonuma & team will be hard at work on #Zelda and have decided not to show it @ E3. Thanks for your patience!"

Well, this raises some questions. What sort of new features will be added to the game and what will Nintendo have to show off at E3 this year? After all, it's less than three months away... any ideas?
