Crusader Kings II's Latest Conclave Expansion Out, A Happy Council Is a Loyal Council

Paradox Development Studios has done it again; they've expanded grand strategy RPG Crusader Kings II with another expansion and this time it's called Conclave and the new soap opera dramatics revolves around an appointed council.

If you thought internal backstabbing was already treacherous then prepare for an all-new level of political double-speak and manoeuvring. Rulers now appoint influential individuals to a council that can vote to change laws of the realm, or you can try to curb their power. A new diplomatic system also tweaks speaking with the neighbours.

Morale has greater emphasis in battles now with new gameplay rules in place for mercenaries. Royal children are also getting some serious educational reform as we get more involved in how they're taught and possibly what traits they'll grow up with.

"Keep your council happy, and the mighty vassals will resist the pull of faction and civil war. Dismiss their interests, though, and you may find yourself trying to hold together a council at war with itself."

"Balance councilor skill and power to keep your dynasty safe and strong. Ignore powerful underlings at your peril, or simply buy their loyalty with favors. Conclave makes the royal council a force unto itself."

Right now a 75% off sale is running on Steam for Crusader Kings II as Conclave launches, with previous add-ons and DLCs at various discounts as well. There's also a Conclave Content Pack with new portraits, event pictures and model packs.
