First Teaser Trailer for Will Smith's Collateral Beauty
Very much counter-programming to the potential box office behemoth that is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Will Smith’s enigmatic love letter to time, love and death, Collateral Beauty, has just released its first teaser trailer.
Written by Allan Loeb and directed by The Devil Wears Prada's David Frankel, the film sees Smith as Howard Inlet, an advertising executive whose life has been shattered by the tragic death of his young daughter. Retreating into grief, Inlet (see what they did there?), starts to worry his concerned co-workers, Claire (Kate Winslet), Simon (Michael Pena) and Whit (Edward Norton) and then things get a little…trippy.
You see, Howard has long been obsessed with love, time and death and he starts meeting people who claim to represent those concepts, with Helen Mirren as Death, Keira Knightly as Love and Jacob Latimore as Time.
Are they real? Is Howard's emotional state having an effect on his mind, or is there something else afoot?
Despite the trailers rather vague ‘coming soon’ end card, Collateral Beauty is due to arrive in cinemas on December 16 in the states.
