Codemasters has pushed the release of co-op action in Overlord: Fellowship of Evil back a few weeks to October 20th. The return of the Overlord series will be coming to PC and consoles.

Unlike the other games in the series, Fellowship of Evil doesn't have us control the Overlord who must spread their dark empire across the satirical fantasy lands. Instead we play as one of four 'Netherghūls' who have been resurrected through the dark arts. They can also control minions to do their bidding on the battlefield.

"We really wanted to do something that would allow us be evil alongside our friends, instead of the normal heroics in every other game," executive producer Rob Elser said. "The idea of playing as a team of bad guys commanding Minions to do our utmost bidding, while also causing chaos for each other, just really made us smile. And as you know, an Overlord game never takes itself too seriously."

Up to four players can fend off the forces of good in this co-op focused action RPG. There's no evil tower to upgrade or empire to expand as this isn't a full Overlord adventure but a digital release.

Overlord: Fellowship of Evil releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 October 20th, 2015.
