Baywatch: Brand New Trailer Promises to Live Fast and Run Slow
Promising to live fast and run slow, the official trailer for Baywatch is here and, much like 21 Jump Street, it looks like a whole lotta fun.
Giving audiences a little meta wink, Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, must put their differences aside and solve a series of beach crimes which have something to do with businesswoman (Priyanka Chopra); in a series of incidences that are, as Efron’s Matt Brody points out, should probably be handled by the police and not bronzed life guards.
The whole thing looks like a lot of summer fun, the slight but serviceable plot, likable leads – Efron is really making a name for himself in comedy – and a whole host of near-nothing beach wear, promise a good time if you leave your brain at the door.
The film also stars Alexandra Daddarrio, Kelly Rohrbach, Jon Bass, Hannibal Buress, and Rob Huebel. Seth Gordon (Identity Thief) directs from a script by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant that was followed up by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
Baywatch opens May 26th.
