Game of Thrones Season Six: Bran Stark to Return

In a TV show of very few certainties, it's nice to have your expectations confirmed once in a while - Bran Stark aka actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright, will be returning in Game Of Thrones season 6. Presumably, that means catching up with Hodor and Meera, too.

The last time we caught up with the second-to-youngest Stark boy, he had finally completed his quest to meet the Three-Eyed Raven and was about to begin another, a training journey with the Children of the Forest which would teach him more about his Warg powers.

Speaking of his return, Hempstead-Wright told The Irish Examiner: "I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions."

"I missed the whole of the last season because it was right in the middle of my exams, so I didn’t have the time to watch it. But I’m looking forward to getting with some friends and binge-watching it all.”

Speaking of another potential returnee, Hempstead-Wright is as much in the dark as the rest of us when it comes to the fate of Jon Snow: "I don’t know [if Kit Harrington will return]. He’s said he’s not [...] I wish he would because I love Kit and because the character’s so cool. Who knows? We start filming series six at the end of this month, so we’ll see.”

With the show now caught up with the books, announcements have been scarce due to the risk of giving the whole game away - rather than teasing us with what lies ahead - but what we do know is that filming beings in July, Kit Harrington still has his long hair and that we can reasonably expect to see the return of Tyrion, Varys, Arya, Dany, Cersei, Littlefinger, Davos, Sam, Margaery, Brienne and other keystones of the Thrones world.
