A handful of details have been revealed for the upcoming Gears of War: Ultimate Edition including graphical upgrades and gameplay tweaks. So far, we know that the game will run at 1080p and 60fps, it will include five brand new campaign chapters, and early access to the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta, so what else is new?

On the graphical side of things: all character models and props have been rebuilt from the ground up for all game modes, lighting and gas effects are also all new. The game's cutscenes have been recreated using advanced motion capture technology and animation techniques such as skin-sliding.

As for gameplay elements; your Tac-Com vision filter will show heavy weapon drop locations in multiplayer, the weapon selector can now be used whilst performing a roadie run in order to queue up a weapon to be used once the run is finished, and players will be able to see enemy players and self-revive when downed.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will arrive August 25.
