Final Fantasy VI On PC Via Steam December 16th
Square Enix has finally confirmed what we've known for a while; Final Fantasy VI is coming to PC gamers via Steam. It's practically here already but the JRPG will unlock this time next week.
The original 1994 SNES title is set in a steampunk world where magic has slowly faded into obscurity as technology rises to replace it. It was the first Final Fantasy in the series to let players pick to play as any of the major characters. It also introduced the now iconic Ultima Weapon which has carried throughout series.
Character designer Kazuko Shibuya has "painstakingly recreated the graphics," boasted Square Enix. There are also updated controls and the active-time battle system has been improved for PC. Final Fantasy VI releases on PC via Steam December 16th, 2015.
