Square Enix Reveals Changes Made To New Hitman Game

You probably heard that gamers recently received cancellations of digital pre-orders on Square Enix's Hitman game and that it disappeared completely from the PlayStation & Xbox digital storefronts. All that is true, and now we have all the details on why this happened...

Hitman's release structure has been totally reworked. The game will now be episodic. The core gameplay experience is still there and will have players completing contract assignments on high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world.

The release date has not changed at all, but the ways in which players can purchase the title have. On March 11th, players can purchase an Intro Pack (which will cost $15) that includes a Prologue Mission and Paris as a location for the action. Beyond that, players will have to purchase select locations as additional DLC content to extend their experience. The next location, Italy, will arrive in April, while the Morocco setting releases in May. Three additional locations, including the U.S., Thailand, & Japan will arrive before the end of this year. Each new location will be priced at $10. If you want to purchase all the content at once, you can do so for $60 and save yourself $5 in the process.

Hitman will be available to buy on a disc, but it won't be available until the end of 2016. You can "Track" its release by clicking here, to stay informed on when it will arrive.
