Firaxis Tease New XCOM 2 Enemy 'The Faceless'
During a PAX Prime 2015 panel the Firaxis team revealed a new enemy debuting with sequel XCOM 2. It's referred to as 'the Faceless'. A number of enemies in the next XCOM have undergone some design evolution.
Given the alternate timeline of events in the sequel, where it is assumed the original XCOM failed in its duty to protect Earth from invasion, we now fight back against an entrenched alien force that has manipulated its way into global governments and organisations. This is the perfect excuse for jazzing up what we thought we knew about specific alien foes.
The Faceless isn't elaborated upon much by the panel who would only surrender its name. It seems to be a shape-shifter or even body-snatcher as it appears to 'burst' from a female civilian. The exclusive look at the new enemy is at the 36 minute mark in the video below.
XCOM 2 releases on PC February 5th, 2016.
