New US Trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Abandoning the stately tone of the UK teaser trailer, the new US equivalent for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies goes straight for the throat with a healthy dose of doom-laden horror action.
The genre mash up, based Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel which took Jane Austen’s classic tale of love, manners, society and stubbornness, and injected a hefty dose of zombie action into it, has finally overcome years of development hell and is ready to unleash itself upon us all.
Director Burt Steers has heroine Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) in a quandary over the day to day demands of high society and the hordes of undead (here called the ‘sorry stricken’) waiting at her door. Although she’s not looking for a husband like her sisters, things change when she finds a potential match in Mr Darcy (Sam Riley).
With Matt Smith as Mr. Collins (who actually shows up in this new video), Douglas Booth as Mr. Bingley, Jack Huston as Mr. Wickham, Bella Heathcote as Jane Bennett, Suki Waterhouse as Kitty Bennet, Ellie Bamber as Lydia Bennet as Charles Dance and Sally Phillips as Mr. and Mrs. Bennet, the film is released in the UK on February 12.
