The video game giant Activision Blizzard is spreading its tendrils across new forms of entertainment with the launch of their new film and television company: Activision Blizzard Studios.

Already, two projects have been announced: Skylanders Academy and a expected slew of Call of Duty movies. The former will star Justin Long as Spyro the Dragon, Ashley Tisdale as Stealth Elf, Norm McDonald as Glumshanks, Jonathan Banks as Eruptor, and Richard Horvitz as Kaos. The pilot expected to arrive during the second quarter of next year.

As for the Call of Duty movies, the first is currently scheduled for a release in 2018. It's been a busy week for Activision Blizzard considering their impending acquisition of Candy Crush creator King, does this mean we'll be seeing the likes of Mr. Toffee and Mr. Yeti on the big screen?
