Ed Skrein Playing Deadpool's Ajax
With Deadpool finally confirmed – along with that mother-chuffin’ R rating – details are beginning to emerge from the shoot in Vancouver.
Staring alongside Ryan Reynolds, Gina Carano and TJ Miller, actor Ed Skrein took to Twitter to reveal he’ll be climbing into the armour of Ajax – the muscle for Weapon-X mad scientist Dr Killebrew.

— Ed Skrein (@edskrein) April 7, 2015Ajax, real name Francis, was given super-speed and agility, and had his nerves removed for "better pain management". Deadpool killed him at one point but death is no barrier for comic book characters and he returned, understandably annoyed, and vowed to hunt down all the surviving Weapon-X test subjects. The Merc with the mouth, in turn, felt honour-bound to finish the job he started and kill for real this time.
The story does at least sound as though it fits with the: "hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life" synopsis.
Effects man/second unit director-turned helmer Tim Miller is calling the shots for this one, working from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Production is now underway in Vancouver, and Deadpool will wisecrack his way into cinemas on February 12 next year.
