London Has Fallen: The First Trailer Has Also Fallen
For fans of ominous piano music and explosions that explode all over the place, rejoice! The trailer for belated Olympus has Fallen follow up, London has Fallen has blasted its way online.
The original was a surprise hit two years ago and now the action has shifted across the Atlantic to London as Gerard Butler returns as hard-knock Mike Banning. This time he's trying to foil a plot to assassinate the assorted world leaders at the funeral of the British Prime Minister.
Babak Najafi is directing this time, taking over from Antoine Fuqua. And joining Butler in the cast are Morgan Freeman, Charlotte Riley, Angela Bassett, Aaron Eckhart, Melissa Leo and Robert Forster.
The movie was recently moved to a January 2016 release slot – which is usually the graveyard for movies that won’t attract awards attention (Sorry, Aaron Eckhart!) or will suffer under competition from other bigger summer movies – however, the trailer hits all the right notes…and not just the ones plinked by the piano score.
