New Images revealed as The Defenders Begins Filming
Filming is underway on Marvel’s The Defenders – the Netflix series which will see the heroes of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist unite to keep New York protected from an omnipotent evil.
The first few images have emerged from the set which show Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage’s Misty Knight (Simone Missick) engaging in a less than civil conversation.
In addition, The Defenders twitter page (well, the twitter feed for the show, not the feed for the actual Defenders; spoiler alert, they’re not real), confirmed some of the other characters that will feature, including Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) from Daredevil, plus Jessica Jones's Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Anne Moss).
Sigourney Weaver was previous confirmed as The Defenders' main villain, while Daredevil showrunners Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie will oversee the show.
It is expected in 2017, although no date has been officially announced yet.
